Switched On Group switch up their HR with Jemini!

The Switched On Group consists of several business units and brands (Switched On Building Solutions, Switched On Housing, Hush Interiors, Plaster Services, PlasterCraft, Noble Services, Turf Tech and Renovate It) which provide commercial fit-outs, residential renovations and alterations, and repairs and maintenance. They’re fanatical about craftsmanship, timeliness, quality, and excellent customer service and experience and in their 30 plus years of business, they’ve completed over 25,000 projects.

Notably, Switched On Housing delivers maintenance services for two regions to Kāinga Ora supporting more than 7500 households in the North and South Island on a 24/7 basis, 356 days a year.

All of which equates to managing a varied workforce and the well-being of a lot of full time, part-time and contract staff! Switched On Group expect their current 230 headcount to grow to nearly 300 within the next 18 months, so the pressure has been on to upgrade their legacy HR solution.

Deidre Butler, Switched On Group’s newly created Chief Digital Officer, had been intrigued when she’d seen a conceptual presentation of Jemini’s integrated HR and payroll platform several years ago. So when developing the new Digital Roadmap for the Group and looking for a new HRIS solution she was delighted to see the fully fledged product now a reality and living up to those early promises. The Executive Leadership team were likewise delighted and the decision was made to embark on a next generation HRIS solution journey. With Melanie James now on board as the new Head of People Culture and Performance, Switched On Group is underway on this exciting project.

While many older HR systems struggle with multiple legal entities, Jemini is designed to provide a seamless experience. Jemini will replace the Group’s legacy HR system, and provide much looked forward to process automation and sophistication deployed via an elegant and intuitive employee interface.  There is enthusiasm within the company for eventually implementing the integrated payroll module.

The initial Jemini Discovery and Advisory (DnA) stage will commence mid-May, and we will coordinate with Switched On their HR Roadmap to success.

Jemini will switch the group on to an exceptional 24/7 HR experience for its employees, all 365 days a year.
