Project Manager - HRIS

We are seeking a vibrant, enthusiastic and up & coming Project Manager based in Wellington, Auckland, or Christchurch who is looking to expand their career in Project Management. We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging with customers, listening to customer wants and pain points, using their insight to design and create what customers actually need.

The role works in collaboration with the project consultants to drive project activities that deliver quality outcomes for our customers, and to manage the communication and project reporting, while at the same time troubleshooting and monitoring potential scheduling problems and managing risks for mitigation in a timely manner.  The role also supports the Practice Manager with resource co-ordination and scheduling.

With your Project Manager hat on you will be…

  • Coordinating and facilitating multiple concurrent software implementation projects at any given time
  • Creating, executing and reviewing project work plans
  • Identifying resources and assigning individual responsibility
  • Managing project budgets and day-to-day operational aspects
  • Ensuring accurate project documentation is maintained
  • Reviewing and monitoring deliverables and seeking opportunities for improvement to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.

The role is not for the faint hearted, we need a strong player who:

  • Has 2-3 years’ experience coordinating or implementing projects
  • Has full lifecycle implementation and upgrade experience in medium to large scale HCM projects
  • Has strong IT/consultancy experience in Payroll, Time and Attendance or HR projects (PMI or PRINCE2 an advantage)
  • Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage conflicting priorities and cope with a constantly changing landscape
  • Has some experience with Agile project management lifecycles, disciplines and procedures
  • Has experience in managing project schedules, project budgets and client relationships
  • Is solution orientated with strong attention to detail
  • Thrives on being across all aspects of their projects and addresses risks and issues before they become problems
  • Has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrates self–motivation, with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a project team environment.
