Fusion5 is an Oracle certified Primvera partner and, as such, is authorised to sell and support Primavera customers across Australia and New Zealand.
Oracle Primavera is an industrial strength Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) solution that effectively supports planning and delivery of portfolios, programmes and projects (P3) within and across organisations. Primavera has been designed from both a top down perspective (management visibility of summarised investment, resourcing, progress, financial & risk information) and a bottom up perspective (detailed scheduling engine) to ensure visibility of a single source of project, instantaneously across a company, business or department.

Typical issues that businesses and departments face where Primavera can assist in delivery are:
Visibility
Primavera allows for enterprise wide visibility of the status of projects, using the base data extracted from detailed project schedules. Dashboards (or portlets) can be customised to provide the information sub-set required by individual or role. Primavera supports the situation where multiple teams within an organisation use the same base project data but for differing purposes, such as:
- Resource management
- Technical operational planning
- Financial management
- Investment planning
- Risk management
- Status reporting
Short and long term resource planning
Primavera assists with:
- Determining resource requirements across multiple projects, scheduled resource allocation and management of under and over resource utilisation.
- Allowing managers to make informed decisions on the number and type of resources required, delivery trade-offs based on resource constraints, resource cost allocations, etc.
Investment planning & prioritisation
Primavera allows for ease of management of investment options from concept through to execution. Financial portfolio management allows optimal decisions to be made on which projects to pursue and which to stop, based on alignment between projects and objectives, amount of investment funds available and expected outcomes and benefits from the various investment options.
Project delivery
Primavera supports managing, tracking and controlling the status of portfolio, programmes and projects. It provides the ability to manage key aspects such as schedules, resources, dependencies, critical path, slack and slippage. Primavera also facilitates project status reporting based on core project data.
Risk management
Monitoring and controlling risk from both a quantified and qualified assessment basis.
Primavera assists through assigning individual risks on individual project schedule tasks, through to a rolled up visual display of risks at the programme and project level.
Earned Value management
Managing costs on projects where margins are small.
Primavera allows users to assess the impact on earned value and margins of potential changes to scope, schedule or budget.
Contractor management
Organising and controlling projects where there are multiple contractors or sub-contractors, and managing aspects such as progress payments, retentions and variation orders.
Benefits realisation
Assigning benefits to be accrued from a programme or project during the business case, and tracking their realisation through to completion to ensure the objectives and outcomes are actually achieved.
